What came first? The Chicken (and red sauce) or the Egg(plant)?

Hey look people can we start off simple for those of us that need basic training?
Like say making some red sauce ?

Victorio - Here's my quick version of basic sauce. I need to ask Stephanie to put the recipes in an easier location to access than the comment section.

1. Saute about 20 fresh basil leaves, garlic, and diced onion in large pot with olive oil.
2. Open up a number 10 can of plum tomatoes. You could also use crushed or puree. Add to pot.
3. Add 1 small can of tomato paste.
4. Get a stick blender and mix until smooth.
5. Add spices to taste - salt, pepper, and whatever else you like.
6. I add about 2-3 Tablespoons of sugar to cut down the acidity of the tomatoes.
7. Blend again and simmer and stir occasionally until desired thickness.
8. Sometimes at this stage I transfer into a crock pot if I'm doing other things and would be distracted and burn the sauce!
8. Voila!
